"MEET THE KINNEAR FAMILY"
 
On 28 February 1992, the Kinnear family from Nelspruit in Mpumulanga purchased a piece of land on the outskirts of the little town of Ohrigstad, midway between Lydenburg and Hoedspruit. The families vision was to develop a reserve in the heart of  the African bushveld with conservation as their main inspiration, where both humans and animals could co inhabit.
 
The land was called “Hannah”,  which means “A Gift from God”.
 
The once modest homestead was opened to visitors, and as the reserve grew in popularity, as a destination of choice, the need arose for the development of additional accommodation.  The Lodge was officially established in 1996, and has over the years developed into Hannah Game Lodge as we know it today.
 
The reserve has since 1996, with careful attention to detail, and particular consideration to the requirements of our guests in mind, developed into a 4 star luxury game lodge with 56 standard en suite chalets as well as 4 standard suites 4 luxury suites.  Other facilities that were developed over the years were a conference facility, open air boma’s, swimming pool, restaurant and various other open air venues where we can now offer so much more to our guests.
